Dance Concert Field Trip Next Week

LPHS Dance Class Field Trip:
“Dance Theater of Harlem” Matinee Performance
Thursday, March 6th (B-day) 2014 at Kingsbury Hall in SLC





The company is renowned for its distinct blend of classical ballet and African American cultural influences. The repertoire reflects the energy, direction, and vitality of American dance from Petipa to Balanchine and Byrd.

Dance 3 Guest Artist: Alexandra Bradshaw

Here is some info about our beautiful guest artist who is setting a piece on Dance 3!

       Alexandra originally hails from the Canadian Rockies but has spent more recent years dancing in Israel, San Francisco, London, New York City, and Houston. She holds a BFA in Dance and a BA in Literature from the University of California, Irvine and has extended her education to Cambridge University, UK, The Ailey School, NYC, and YogaWorks, NYC. Before joining Ririe-Woodbury in 2011, Alexandra performed internationally with Rami Be’er (Israel), Todd Courage, Robert Moses, Janice Garrett, Charles Moulton, Nol Simonse, Alyce Finwall, Kirstin E. Williams (San Francisco), Catherine Galasso, Brooke Broussard, David Dorfman (NYC), Donald McKayle, and Loretta Livingston (Los Angeles). She currently dances with the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, SLC, Utah.


Reminder on our Dance 3 Schedule for guest choreography:

This Wednesday: B3 -15 min into lunch, after school 2:30-4:00 PM
This FridayB3 -15 min into lunch, after school 2:30-4:00 PM
         There will be one other extra time when Alex will come back and finish the piece                                    (a Saturday or Evening sometime down the road)
